SUNDAY’S count of new coronavirus cases in Orange County is 342 (Shutterstock).

Sunday’s sum of new COVID-19 cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency is 342, down from 513 the day before. There was just one death, compared to 20 on Saturday. The new to-date total for Orange County cases is 43,709, of which 34,461 are considered recovered.

The test positivity rate is 6.9 percent, up from Saturday’s count of 6.7, but still within the goal of 8 percent. “Positivity” refers to that portion of people who are tested and end up being positive for the coronavirus, regardless of symptoms.

Here is the list of OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

Westminster has 814 cases and 21 deaths; Stanton has 540 cases and eight deaths.
