Tuesday’s total of new COVID-19 cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Authority is 287, up from Monday’s 216, but still below Sunday’s 342.
Tuesday’s test positivity rate is 6.2 percent, down from Monday’s 6.8 percent and well within the goal of less than 8 percent. “Positivity” relates to that portion on people who are tested and end up positive for the coronavirus, regardless of symptoms.
Here is a list of the Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.
- Santa Ana: 8,629 (710).
- Anaheim: 7,568 (189).
- Garden Grove: 2,408 (41).
- Orange: 2,033 (34).
- Huntington Beach: 1,956 (56).
Westminster had 831 cases and 21 deaths; Stanton has 556 cases and eight deaths.
