After a search that took them from Garden Grove to Santa Ana on Friday, police arrested a 21-year old man for allegedly shooting a 24-year-old man from Anaheim, hitting him twice in the upper torso.
Police were able to identify a suspect – Antonio Garcia of Garden Grove – as well as his vehicle, and his home about a mile away. A Garden Grove SWAT team executed a warrant, but the suspect was not located.
His vehicle was later found at an address near First Street and Euclid Street in Santa Ana. The suspect had been seen in the area and was spotted driving a different vehicle. Police stopped the automobile and arrested Garcia. A handgun similar to the one used in the shooting was found in the vehicle, according to Sgt. Loffler.
Any witnesses with information about the incident are asked to call GGPD Detective Nick Lazenby at (714) 741-5856.
