NEW CORONAVIRUS cases in Orange County on Thursday are at 141 (Shutterstock).
Thursday’s numbers in the Orange County Health Care Agency’s report on the coronavirus again showed a mix of encouraging and somber news.
The daily count of new COVID-19 positive cases was at 141, down from Wednesday’s 144. However, deaths rose from three on Wednesday to 14 today. The number of cases hospitalized declined from 183 to 172 and cases in intensive care dropped from 64 to 62.
Cumulative cases to date in the OC are 55,183, of which 49,485 are considered recovered. There have been 1,306 deaths.

- The number of global cases of COVID-19 is at 36,423,659 of which 7,599,566 are in the United States, followed by India (6,835,655) and Brazil (5,028,444).
- Global deaths are now at 1,060,370 of which 212,651 are in the U.S, followed by Brazil (148,957) and India (105,526).
