COVID cases and deaths falling

ORANGE COUNTY is showing a decline in coronavirus cases and deaths (Shutterstock).

Saturday’s report on the COVID-19 pandemic in Orange County showed declining numbers of new cases and deaths.

According to the county health care agency, 85 cases were reported for Saturday, down from 151 in Friday’s report.  There were eight deaths, compared to 10 on Friday.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus went from 170 on Friday to 159 on Saturday and the number of cases in intensive care units went from 66 on Friday to 56 for Saturday.

Here is the list of Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

Westminster had 1,105 cases and 30 deaths; Stanton has 698 cases and 17 deaths.
