Margie Rice Park getting a refresh
The park, which is located where the freeway passes over Springdale Street, will be enlarged by six-tenths of an acre by covering the cement waterway behind the park (which will be undergrounded). A new sound wall will be erected and landscaping of the hillside will be done.
Sidewalks will be added to extend both north and south to join existing sidewalks. Other new landscaping and play equipment may be added as well.
The park, formerly known as Indian Village Park, is named in honor of the long-time Westminster mayor and councilmember.
