New noise ordinance on agenda

Does your neighbor crank the music up too loud? Do the morning leaf blower sessions grate on your nerves? Does the guy building doing-it-himself projects in his garage next door run his annoying power tools at high power, vibrating the petals off your roses?

The Huntington Beach City Council on Monday night will consider a new noise control ordinance that aligns with state-recommended guidelines. It will apply to sources as diverse as motorboats and construction.

Also in the agenda Monday will be an agreement with the Huntington Beach Community Garden to manage a community garden on Southern California Edison property south of Atlanta Avenue and adjacent to the Santa Ana River.

The council will meet at 6 p.m. in virtual session.
