Fires are contained 80 and 82%

UPDATE:  Overnight progress against the Silverado and Blue Ridge fires in Orange County continued late Saturday and early Sunday.

According to Cal Fire, the Silverado blaze is now 82 percent contained; the Blue Ridge blaze is 80 percent contained as of 7 a.m. today (Sunday).

The situation summery reads, “Crews worked though the night patrolling and mopping up the fire perimeter. Crews will remain active today. Firefighters will continue reinforcing lines today and completing fire suppression repair.”

Anticipating stronger northeasterly winds on Sunday, firefighters battling the Silverado and Blue Ridge fires in Orange County worked overnight to suppress both blazes.

Here’s the update as of Saturday morning.

In both cases, full containment is not expected until Nov. 10.
