Shots fired in lot near hotel

SHOTS WERE fired in an incident Wednesday afternoon near a hotel in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

Police in Garden Grove are investigating an incident in which shots were fired at a man in a hotel parking lot.

According to Sgt. Charlie Loffler of the GGPD, the incident began around 5 p.m. on Wednesday when officers were sent to 12021 Harbor Blvd. regarding reports of gunfire. Arriving officers found several shell casings on the pavement near the Delta Hotel.

In their investigation, police concluded that the intended victim – described only as a male Hispanic, approximately 25 to 35 years old – was getting into his automobile when approached by two men.

An argument ensued and one of the two men – described only as male Hispanics, 25 to 30 years old wearing dark clothing – pulled out a firearm and began shooting at the victim. All three men fled before police could arrive.  It’s not known if the victim was wounded; there were no reports of a gunshot victim at area hospitals.

  1. Always nice to see what has happened to the Delta Hotel since Disneyland was forced to close. We have traded tourists for criminals.
