OC cases and deaths decline

Counts of new cases and deaths from coronavirus declined on Monday, but two other metrics edged higher.

According to the Orange County Health Care Agency, 3,753 new cases were reported for Monday, down from Sunday’s record high of 4,606. Deaths dropped from 15 to two.

However, hospitalizations due to COVID-19 infections increased from 1,682 cases to 1,709 and coronavirus patients in intensive care units rose from 375 to 380.

• Santa Ana: 25,361 (357)
• Anaheim: 21,672 (381)
• Garden Grove: 7,922 (127)
• Orange: 6,185 (82)
• Fullerton: 5,880 (129)
• Huntington Beach: 5,170 (96)

Westminster has 1,603 cases and 38 deaths. Stanton has 1,603 cases and 22 fatalities.
