ORANGE COUNTY cities range among the safest in the U.S., according to new survey (Shutterstock).
Orange County cities scored quite well in a recent survey of the safest cities in the United States. The study by the Moneygeek.com website ranked 303 municipalities of 100,000 and over population.
It also calculates the cost per person of crime per capita.
Here is how OC cities ranked.
- Irvine (fifth) $194
- Orange (36th) $456
- Huntington Beach (38th) $464
- Costa Mesa (50th) $524
- Fullerton (70th) $640
- Anaheim (93rd) $752
- Garden Grove (103rd) $832
- Santa Ana (138th) $1,076.
The safest city in the U.S. was Arlington, Virginia. California’s safest was Irvine. The lowest-ranking city in the nation was St. Louis. California’s was San Bernardino.
