Effective Friday, the City of Westminster will have a new city manager.
At Wednesday’s meeting, the city council voted 5-0 to approve an employment agreement with Marwan Youssef to become the city’s top appointed official.
His employment agreement calls for him to make an annual salary of $234,372,
He will succeed Sherry Johnson, who served as interim city manager for nearly a year. She stepped in to that post after the resignation/retirement of Eddie Manfro, who had held the position since July 2012.
Also on Wednesday night, the council voted to approve an amendment to an agreement with the Law Office of Jones and Mayor for legal services, appointing Christian Bettenhausen as city attorney.
The next meeting of the council is scheduled for Feb. 24.
