HIGH SCHOOL and intermediate school graduation exercises will be held for the Garden Grove Unified School District will be held Tuesday, June 8 and Wednesday, June 9.

The schedule of graduation exercises for high schools and intermediate schools in the Garden Grove Unified School District has been announced, as well as guidelines for attendance in this time of partial reopening of public events.

According to Abby Broyles, public information officer for the GGUSD, each high school graduate will have a limited number of tickets to share with guests based on stadium capacity limitations, number of graduating seniors, and state guidelines based on which “tier” the district is in. Stadium capacity is limited to 33 percent in the “orange” tier and 67 percent in the “yellow” tier.

Orange County is presently in the orange tier, but scored well enough last week to be moved to yellow if metrics continue along the same lines. There will be temperature checks at the entrances, six feet of distancing between households and masks will be required.

The commencement ceremonies will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.
