The latest statistics on the state of the coronavirus pandemic in Orange County showed a mixed bag. The number of deaths stayed the same from Friday to Saturday, while hospitalizations and the use of ICUs for COVID-19 treatment each rose by five.
To date in Orange County, cases have totaled 254,692, of which 247,816 are considered to be recovered. The death total is 5,030.
According to The New York Times, across the nation, new cases – over a two-week period – declined by 32 percent and deaths by 12 percent. In California, the number of new cases fell 12 percent, reported the Los Angeles Times. Deaths showed a 17 percent drop.
