EIGHT PERSONS from Santa Ana were arrested on charges of child pornography possession and/or distribution (Shutterstock).
Eight Santa Ana residents have been arrested in the culmination of a lengthy investigation – termed “Operation Surf Crasher” – into possession and/or distribution of child pornography.
According to the SAPD, the arrestees are:
- Carlos Gurrola, 42
- Alejandro Bermudez, 26
- Jaren Loong, 32
- Erick Oropeza, 21
- Ismael Ortega, 24
- Luis Reyes, 48
- Luis Ramirez-Beltran, 29
- Nathan Pham, 18
Police served 11 residential search warrants over two days and worked in collaboration with the Orange County District Attorney’s office, Homeland Security’s investigations, the OC Child Exploitation Task Force, the OC Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory, AB 109 Task Force, OC Probation and the Whittier Police Department.
All eight suspects were booked into Santa Ana Jail.
