MAP passes its planners review

GARDEN GROVE Planning Commission agreed that the MAP Sports facility in West Garden Grove had passed its six-month review (Shutterstock).

The MAP Sports Facility in West Garden Grove has been cleared to continue operating under its conditional use permit.

Last Thursday, the city planning commission held a public hearing that was a six-month review of the operation of the indoor sports facility. Planners concluded that all the conditions of approval under its CUP were being met and no further review was needed.

MAP is located at the southeast corner of Western Avenue and Lampson Avenue.

Also, the commission approved a site plan and variance to demolish an existing 98,360-square foot industrial building and build a new 97,470-square foot structure at 12822 Monarch St. (between Acacia Avenue and Lampson Avenue).
