Ready to get “all shook up”?

The first free summer concert in Westminster’s Civic Center Sunken Gardens will feature Scot Bruce in a “Tribune to Elvis Presley,” on Thursday, July 29 from 6-7 p.m.

Guests are urged to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy music made popular by “The King.” There will also be children’s activities and games.

The Civic Center is at 82000 Westminster Blvd. (one block east of Beach Boulevard).  For more information, call (714) 895-2860.

Honors and diplomas are being handed out to local students at colleges and universities. They include:

The 2021 Annual Employee Appreciation Bowling Tournament of the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Monday, Aug, 30 at Linbrook Bowl (Brookhurst Street and Lincoln Boulevard) in Anaheim.

Registration will be at 5:30 p.m. and bowling will begin at 6 p.m. Prices for individual players are $75. A four-person team would pay $275 and a meal ticket is $5. Team prices will include three games, shoes, bowling ball and dinner.

Awards will be made for first, second and third place teams.

Splash pads are now open at two parks in Stanton. They are Harry Dotson Park (10350 Fern Ave.) and Stanton Central Park (10660 Western Ave.). Operating hours will be from 12-5 p.m. daily. If that doesn’t sound cool enough, free Popsicles are being offered from 12-2 p.m. at the Central Park, while supplies last.
