Bust nets guns, coke, cash

GUNS, ammunition, cocaine and cash seized Wednesday by Garden Grove police (GGPD photo).

Seventeen guns, a big stash of cocaine and $100,000 in cash were seized by the Garden Grove Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit in an operation Wednesday in Midway City.

According to the GGPD, the SIU served a search warrant at a residence in the 8000 block of Jefferson Street with the help of the department’s gang suppression and K-9 unit.

Several of the guns seized were outfitted with illegally-possessed silencers, police said.

Arrested and booked into Orange County Jail was Sang Pham, 39, of Midway City.  He was the subject of an investigation of a suspect allegedly selling cocaine in and around Garden Grove.
