Garden Grove High School is celebrating its 100th anniversary in September. The GGHS Alumni Association is presenting a Centennial Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 18. All alumni, current students and teachers are invited, and family members are welcome.
GGHS was founded in 1921 in temporary quarters and moved to its present location on Stanford Avenue in 1923. It’s the oldest school in the Garden Grove Unified School District and the sixth-oldest high school in Orange County.
Noted alums include entertainer Steve Martin, Medal of Honor winner Michael Monsoor and adventurer Steve Fossett.
