A TRAFFIC COLLISION in Santa Ana Sunday morning killed one person and sent two others to the hospital (Shutterstock).
Alcohol is considered a factor in a fatal traffic collision early Sunday morning in Santa Ana.
According to the SAPD, the crash took place in the area of 4800 West McFadden Avenue around 12:15 a.m. Police and units from the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash.
The Ford then veered onto the south sidewalk where it struck a utility pole. Police found “numerous containers of alcohol” in the vehicle.
All three riding in the Edge were injured. The driver was declared dead at the scene and the passengers were taken to local hospitals for treatment. None of the persons in the Toyota were injured.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Witnesses to collision are asked to call the SAPD’s traffic division at (714) 245-8216.
