A request to build and operate a digital display billboard facing the San Diego (405) Freeway in Westminster goes before the planning commission when it meets Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in webconference.
The applicant, Outdoor Associates, LLC, is asking for a conditional use permit and a variance. The billboard is planned to be V-shaped, with both sides facing the freeway. The variance is requested because the proposed device would have a 55-foot height, and the city code puts a 35-foot height limit on billboards.
Also on the agenda is a proposed zone text amendment that would allow homes with an accessory dwelling unit or junior accessory unit to expand driveways an additional five feet in width to create three off-street parking places.
