There was good news in three of four major categories of coronavirus impact in Orange County in Monday’s report from the county health care agency.
According to the OCHCA, confirmed new cases over the three-day period totaled 1,031, which averages 344 cases a day. That’s down from 394 on Friday.
To date, Orange County has had 293,875 cases, of which 277,933 are considered recovered. The death total is 5,352.
Nationally, The New York Times is reporting that new cases – over a 14-day period – declined 8 percent and deaths rose 29 percent. In California, Los Angeles Times has calculated that new cases – over a similar period – fell 33 percent, while deaths have risen 25 percent.
