Improvements in three of four categories on the coronavirus were reported Friday by the Orange County Health Care Agency.
The only increase was in hospitalizations, which rose from 279 to 283.
To date, Orange County has had 297,905 cases, of which 284,271 are considered recovered. The death toll is at 5,436.
At the national level, The New York Times is reporting that – over a 14-day period – new cases are down 26 percent and deaths by 2 percent. In California, Los Angeles Times calculates that new cases are down 30 percent and deaths by 24 percent.
