How to spend ARPA millions?

How should the City of Stanton spend the $9.12 million awarded it under the American Rescue Plan Act to combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic?

To better determine how members of the public feel about how that federal largess should be used, the city council will on Tuesday consider an agreement with Probolsky Research to conduct a “community needs assessment.”

The agreement, if approved, would be for not more than $44,000. That amount would be covered through the ARPA, not from the general fund. That federal money must be spent by the end of 2024.

The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Stanton City Hall, 7800 Katella Ave.
