For much of 2021, meetings of the Westminster City Council revolved around political battles among members of the council. The final meeting of the year on Wednesday, Dec. 8 looks to be similar.

The agenda includes:

CHI CHARLIE NGUYEN is the vice mayor of Westminster.

In the case of the possible censure of Nguyen, the allegations against him include making “false, inappropriate and disrespectful comments in public concerning other members of the city council” as well as being “argumentative and disruptive during recent meetings.”

Additionally, he is accused of saying “craps” regarding agenda items he disagreed with, and referring to other council members as a “barbarian” and a “coward.”

Regarding Seid, Nguyen alleges that having Seid serve on both bodies is in conflict of the city’s anti-nepotism policy.

The meeting will be held via teleconference, with a closed session at 5 p.m., followed by an open session at 7 p.m.

The next regular meeting will be held on Jan. 12, 2022 as the Dec. 22 meeting has been cancelled.
