Light agenda for city council

A relatively light agenda will greet the Huntington Beach City Council when it meets on Tuesday.

The agenda includes:

• an agreement with Biggs Cardosa Associates for bridge design services in the amount of $301,957 for a total contract amount not to exceed $3.1 million and extending the contract term three years;
• approve the purchase of 23 replacement vehicles from National Auto Fleet Group;
• select the default rate among “basic choice,” “Smart Choice” and “100 Percent Renewable Choice” for energy services for the city and its residential and commercial customers.

The meeting will start with a closed session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 6 p.m. It will be held virtually via Zoom, except that public comments can be made in person in the Council Chambers at 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown Avenue).

A strategic planning workshop is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 4 at Huntington Central Library, 7111 Talbert Ave. at 9 a.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m.
