Note to readers: CIF-SS brackets and pairings for basketball and soccer are expected to be announced On Tuesday. We will post those affecting local teams as part of our Prep Sports Spotlight on Tuesday.
Eight local high school girls’ water polo teams will be in action starting this week in the CIF-SS playoffs. Teams will be in action Tuesday afternoon, unless otherwise noted.
Edison (13-12) is seeded second in Division 2 and Westminster (15-8) is seeded fourth in Division 6.
- Division 1: Huntington Beach (13-10) will host Corona del Mar (15-13)
- Division 2: Edison (13-10) hosts La Serna (12-14)
- Division 4: Culver City (14-9) will be at Garden Grove (15-13)
- Division 5: Loara (5-3-0) has a bye; will play the winner of La Habra-Palm Springs on Thursday
- Division 6: La Quinta (12-5) has a bye; will play winner of Brentwood vs. St. Joseph/Lakewood on Thursday; Orange (6-11) at Whittier (8-4); Whitney (7-5) at Westminster (15-8); Ontario (12-11) at Rancho Alamitos (11-7).
