A check of two cafes in Westminster visited this week for possible violations of state and federal tobacco law resulted in arrests and seizures.
According to the Westminster Police Department, an operation to ensure compliance with laws found most tobacco retail businesses they visited to be in compliance.
However, when police checked two cafes they found more serious issues.
Six people were arrested, two for running a gambling house and four for a combination of warrants, fraud and sales/possession of drugs and possession of drug-related paraphernalia.
The seizures included over an ounce of methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia, fictitious currency and about $1000 in illegal gambling funds.
