Police seek stabbing suspect

A MAN IS in critical condition after being stabbed in Garden Grove Saturday morning (Shutterstock).

Police are searching for the suspect in a stabbing in Garden Grove Saturday morning that sent the victim to a hospital in critical condition.

According to Detective Sgt. Evan Beresford, the incident took place at around 10:12 a.m. when officers were dispatched to a home in the 12800 block of Safford E (northwest of Garden Grove Boulevard and 9th Street) regarding a stabbing.

Arriving officers found a man on the front lawn of a home. He was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital where he was taken directly into surgery.

The victim was operated on for four hours and was listed in critical condition. The suspect fled the scene before GGPD officers arrived.
