Argos snap skid, cage the Lions

Garden Grove High’s baseball team broke a four-game losing streak Friday and defeated Westminster 11-3 on the Lion diamond.

The Argonauts are now 9-9 overall and 1-3 in the Golden West League. They’re tied for third place with Westminster (1-13, 1-3).

Ocean View defeated Godinez 18-0 and improved its GWL record to 4-0 (12-6 overall). Segerstrom is 6-0 and 9-9 after besting Katella 4-0.

In the Garden Grove League baseball race, Los Amigos remained in first place with a 14-4 win over Bolsa Grande. The Lobos are 7-2 in league and 16-2 overall. The Matadors are 5-4 in GGL action and 9-10 overall.

Remaining a game back is Santiago (6-3, 8-9), which blanked Loara 6-0 (5-4, 6-7).
