Cannabis, short-term rentals and the Quang Tri Monument top the agenda for Wednesday’s meeting of the Westminster City Council.
The council will hear a report from staff on commercial cannabis regulations in Orange County cities.
Also, the council will hear the results of research on regulations governing short-term rentals of residential property.
According to a staff report, the most feasible locations are:
- Westminster Park
- Tony Lam (formerly Park West Park) Park
- Elden Gillespie Park
- Sid Goldstein Freedom Park
- Westminster Memorial Park (privately-owned cemetery.
The monument is intended to commemorate a victory in 1972 by South Vietnamese and allied units against Communist forces. The council will meet in person and via teleconference/web conference with a closed session at 5 p.m. and the open session scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
