Planners hold two hearings

Two public hearings are featured in the Thursday, Sept. 1 meeting of the Garden Grove Planning Commission.

One public hearing will consider an application for a one-year time-extension for a site plan and parcel map to build two new single-family homes and the subdivision of the property at 11841 Magnolia St. into two parcels of equal size.

The second public hearing will concern a variety of amendments to the municipal code to make sure it complies with new state housing laws, including those regarding single-family residences, multi-family residences, commercial development, mixed-use and other standards.

The next step would be to consider approval of the amendments to the city council.

The commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
