The City of Garden Grove, in partnership with Republic Services, will host a series of community cleanup days throughout the city in an effort to help residents properly dispose of bulky items for free. The first cleanup day event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Garden Grove Park, at 9301 Westminster Boulevard. The event is open to Garden Grove residents only.
Items not accepted include hazardous waste, batteries, LED lights, refrigerators, freezers, AC units, concrete, dirt, and tires. For a complete list of banned items, visit ggcity.org/cleanup-days.
Republic Services provides special collections of bulky items at no charge for single- and multi-family residents. Each household receives up to three bulky item pickups per calendar year and is limited to up to 10 items per pickup. The service is by appointment only by calling (714) 238-2444.
