In a stunning reversal, the “march on Moscow” by members of the rebellious mercenary Wagner Group has stopped and soldiers ordered to return to bases in Ukraine.
Prigozhin had started the march after claiming that Russian forces had attacked his camps and bases, inflicting casualties. reported The New York Times.
He was demanding the ouster of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, whom he criticized about the conduct of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Florida drag show ban blocked
According to United Press International, Judge Gregory Presnell sided with the Hamburger Mary’s chain in its claim that a drag performance isn’t obscene.
The law, signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis, was to go into effect on July 1.
A similar law in Tennessee was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge.
Railroad bridge collapses
Parts of a freight train carrying hazardous materials fell into the Yellowstone River in Montana on Saturday when the bridge it was crossing collapsed.
USA Today reports that the train was carrying sulphur and asphalt. There were no injuries and the effects of the hazardous materials were being diluted by the movement of the fast-flowing current.
