Following week after week of contentious meetings of the Westminster City Council, the agenda for Wednesday’s session looks remarkably calm and non-controversial.

There will be a public hearing on the review of the planning commission’s approval of conditional use permit to establish an elderly day health care center at 8291 Westminster Blvd., immediately south of Liberty Park in the civic center area.

The matter had been continued from the July 12 meeting.

The council will also consider adopting plans, specifications and authorizations to solicit construction bids for the Westminster Street Improvement Project from Goldenwest Street to Hoover Street.

The council will meet at 6 p.m. in its chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd. The regular meeting of Aug. 9 has been canceled; the next meeting will be on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
