A public hearing on a proposed new indoor entertainment – karaoke– facility with the on-site consumption of beer and wine tops the agenda of the Wednesday, Aug. 2 meeting of the Westminster Planning Commission.
The proposed facility would be located in the Asian Garden Mall, 9200 Bolsa Ave., Unit 233, on the second floor on the south side of the two-story indoor mall. At issue would be two conditional use permits.
The applicants are offering to hire a minimum of one security guard from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. with up to two guards during holidays/special events and install security cameras inside the facility.
Also on the agenda is a public hearing on a three-year extension of time on a tentative tract map for a project.
The applicants – Hien Nguyen and Ann Nguyen – are asking for the extension for the project at 8151 18th St., originally approved by the commission in 2020.
The commission meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 8200 Westminster Blvd.
