Signs on planners’ agenda

Signs are on the agenda for the Thursday, Oct. 5 agenda of the meeting of the Garden Grove Planning Commission.

A public hearing is set to consider a request for a variance to construct a new standard monument sign with changeable electronic changeable copy at the southwest corner of the Garden Grove Elks Lodge, which located at the northeast corner of Newhope Street and Trask Avenue.

Another public hearing is for a site plan and conditional use permit for the Garden Grove Hyundai dealership located on the southside of Trask Avenue between Brookhurst Street and Magnolia Street.

The applicant is requesting to remove the arched cap feature on the existing freeway dealer electronic readerboard sign and to install a 20-foot tall freeway reader dealer sign.

The commission meets in the Community Meeting Center at 11300 Stanford Ave. at 5 p.m.
