On Friday, the Pioneers defeated district rival Anaheim 54-0 to take over sole possession of the Orange League title. Anthony Luna completed 16 of 21 passes for 302 yards and six touchdowns to lead the team. His favorite receiver was Desmin Joshway-Fairly, who caught six passes for three touchdowns.
The Colonists could only rush for –20 yards and relied on the passing of Mj Fernandez, who threw for 83 yards.
Western finished the regular season at 9-1 (5-0 ) in league. Anaheim (5-5, 3-2) slipped into third place with the loss, coupled with Santa Ana Valley’s 42-10 win over Century. The Falcons are 5-5 overall and 3-2 in league.
