A problem with a battery and charger ignited a fire in a garage in West Garden Grove.
According to the Orange County Fire Department, the blaze was reported Saturday afternoon in the 6600 block of Santa Barbara Avenue.
Arriving firefighters and paramedics from Engine 84 found smoke showing. They searched the home while attacking the fire and preventing it from spreading into the home.
No injuries were reported. The public is encouraged to never charge a battery and leave it unattended, nor leave it it your exit path.
