A planned new police headquarters building, new parking structure and new park all go before the Garden Grove Planning Commission when it meets on Thursday, Dec. 21,

Planners will consider requests for a conditional use permit and other authorizations to build the a police facility of 104,400 square feet adjacent to a parking structure with up to 448 spaces, all at the northeast corner of Euclid Street and Acacia Parkway.

Additionally, a new 2.8-acre park would be created nearby. The current police facility would be demolished.

Also on the agenda is a public hearing for the construction of a three-story, 27-unit residential apartment complex at 9691 Bixby Ave. (between Cathay Circle and Peacock Court). Three of the units are priced for “very low income” households.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
