POLLO CAMPERO will be coming to Garden Grove (Pollo Campero).
Garden Grovers will soon have a new choice for fast food chicken.
On a 6-0 vote – with Asia Cunningham absent – the planning commission on Thursday night approved a site plan and variance for a Pollo Campero outlet on the south side of Chapman Avenue, east of Harbor Boulevard.
PMDG is planning to construct a 1,977-square foot restaurant pad building with a drive-through lane. The existing building will be demolished.
Pollo Campero serves fried and grilled chicken, salads and sides. It originated in Guatemala in 1971.
Also Thursday night, Josh Lindsay was elected chair of the commission and John Ramirez chosen to be vice chair.
