It was a matter of wow! for one team and ow! for the other.

For the Los Angeles Dodgers, Tuesday’s game had a dramatic seven-run rally in the ninth inning that lifted them to an 11-9 win over the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

The key hit was a two-out, two runners on in the top of the ninth. Trailing 9-8, they got a three-run home run from Teo Martinez, his 18th blast of the season.

That followed a grand slam by Jayson Hayward earlier in the inning. Solo home runs by Andy Pages and Shohei Ohtani (20th) came earlier in the game.

The Dodgers are now 46-29 and remain in first place in the NL West.

On the other hand, it was painful Tuesday for the Angels, losing 6-3 at home to the Milwaukee Brewers. Trailing 6-0 going into the bottom of ninth, the Orange County team rallied for three runs.

With two out and runners on first and second Taylor Ward flied out to center to end the game for the Halos, now 29-44 and fourth in the AL West.
