The campaigns for public office in our West Orange County area have begun with the confirmation of the lineup of candidates for city council, school board and other positions in the cities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster, as well as a county supervisor seat.
Election Day is on Nov. 5, although early voting will again be available. The list below is taken from the Orange County Registrar of Voters. Candidates whose name is marked with asterisk (*) are incumbents.
In the case of the Westminster School District Board of Trustees, since there are no challengers to the incumbents, there will not be an election there and the two candidates will be automatically appointed to those seats, according to the registrar’s office.
