Did school officials receive a timely warning that could have prevented the Georgia high school shooting that took the lives of four people?

According to the Associated Press, Rabecca Sayareth – the mother of a classmate of the boy arrested in the shootings –said  that she warned the school that Colt Gray, 14, was “having a crisis” and they needed to find him.

The photo call came in at 9:50 a.m. and the shooting started at 10:20 a.m. “The school failed them, they could have prevented these deaths and they [didn’t].”

There were different responses as well. “I’m not going to referee or second-guess what happened with the authorities the other night,” said U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock. “I applaud our first responders. When others are running away from danger, they run toward the danger in order to do the best they can.”

Presidential debate looms ahead

Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump are in preparation for their televised debate on ABC Tuesday night.

Rules of the debate include a ban on notes or props, and the silencing of microphones when the other candidate is speaking.

The debate could be crucial to the outcome of the election. A New York Times/Siena poll shows a close race, with Trump supported by 48 percent of those surveyed to 47 percent for Harris.

An average of recent polls has Harris leading 47.1 percent to 44.3 percent.
