The use of long-range weapons by Ukraine to strike deep into Russia may soon be approved by President Joe Biden.
Ukraine has been seeking to use those weapons, including missiles, as a way of striking back at Russia, which has attacked deep into the smaller nation’s territory.
“Permission” from the U.S. is considered vital because the vast majority of financial and military aid coming to Ukraine is American.
Also on Thursday, it’s reported that shelling in the Pokrovsk area in eastern Ukraine is increasing and Russia is launching a new counterattack in the Kursk area.
Will Trump debate Harris again?
Former president Donald Trump vowed Thursday that he wouldn’t debate Vice President Kamala Harris again.
“Because we’ve done two debates and because they were successful, there will be no third debate,” said Trump, referred also to the initial debate against President Joe Biden.
Additionally, he offered a new policy idea of eliminating taxes on overtime pay while campaigning in Arizona, reported the Associated Press.
Harris, campaigning in Pennsylvania, said that Trump “owed it to the American people” to debate her again. She announced that in the 24 hours after the debate her campaign had raised $47 million.
Few polls have been completed since the debate, but Harris appears to have had some success in wooing voters. The Ispos/Reuters now had her leading Trump by 47 to 42 percent, an edge of 5 percent, up two points from its last poll.
The average of polls shows Harris ahead 49 to 46 percent, and increase of 1 percent.
Sports: A day off for Angels, Dodgers

The Dodgers defeated the Dodgers at home on Wednesday and will start a rod trip Friday in Atlanta.
