The community is invited to attend the City of Garden Grove’s Halloween-themed community event, Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Atlantis Play Center, located in Garden Grove Park, at 13630 Atlantis Way.
Activities include train rides, inflatable obstacle courses, a bubble show, face painting, a pumpkin patch, carnival games, a reptile booth with educational shows, and more. Costumes are encouraged.
Children, ages 2-10, will have the opportunity to select a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and decorate it in the craft area. All attendees will have access to event activities and Halloween candy. C&M Ohana will be onsite selling kettle corn, lemonade, shaved ice, and ice cream.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are now available until quantities run out. Ticket prices are $12 per child, ages 2-10; $3 for individuals, ages 11 and over; and children 1 and under, are free.

Give those drugs back!
National Drug Give-Back Day is Saturday.
This free event helps prevent prescription drug misuse and accidents and accidental poisoning. No liquids, needles, “sharps”or pressure cannisters will be accepted.
In Huntington Beach the location is 19081 Goldenwest St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In Garden Grove, the drugs will be accepted at the police facility at 11301 Acacia Parkway, also 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Senior Halloween Luncheon
A spooky time for seniors will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 at the Westminster Senior Center, 8200 Westminster Blvd. from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be drinks, dancing and live music. Tickets are $5.
Time to drop off some bulk
No, we don’t mean a weight-loss program. The City of Garden Grove will be sponsoring a free bulky item drop-off site on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 to 11 a.m.
The location is the Garden Grove Municipal Service Center, 13802 Newhope St. (between Trask and Westminster avenues).
Stanton Halloween Festival on Saturday
Feeling frightful? There’s a place for scary kids on Saturday at the Stanton Halloween Festival from 4-8 p.m at Stanton Central Park on Western Avenue.
There will be games, costume contests, food, crafts and more. The event is free and open to all ages.
