If you’re a bad guy with a record, it’s smart to avoid giving the police a reason to pay you a visit.
On Wednesday, Westminster police officers were patrolling in the area of Kramer Avenue and Moran Street around 1:30 p.m. when they noticed a vehicle with expired registration occupied by three males.
The driver was searched and officers found a loaded rifle magazine in his pocket. They decided to detain the three and search the vehicle.
They found an un-serialized short barrel rifle on the driver’s side floorboard. He was taken into custody and it was determined that he was on probation and a convicted felon with a history of weapons violations.
He was booked at Orange County Jail in Santa Ana for multiple felonies.
