Th Angels were happy at home

Back in Anaheim after a successful road trip, the Los Angeles Angels kept warm with a 6-2 victory on Sunday over the Cleveland Guardian at the Big A.

With the win, the Halos are 5-3 and in second place in the American League West. They trail the Texas Rangers (8-2) by 1.5 games.

The Angels got home runs from Logan O’Hoppe and Jorge Soler.

Tyler Anderson pitched five strong innings, giving up just one hit and two earned runs. He struck out four five batters and walked four.

Phils keep cooling Dodgers

After an 8-0 start, the Los Angeles Dodgers suffered another loss on Sunday, falling to the Philadelphia Phillies 8-7 in the City of Brotherly Love.

Nick Castelanos hit a grand slam home run in the third inning for the deciding hit for the home team, which won the series two games to one.  Teo Hernandez hit two home runs for the Dodgers,

With the loss, the Blues Crew is 9-2 and in second place in the National League West, behind the San Francisco Giants (8-1).

ALSO IN SPORTS: The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Oklahoma Thunders 126-99. Luka Doncic leads the team with 30 points. Austin Reaves had 20 points and LeBron James added 19. The Lakers are now 48-30 and lead with NBA Pacific Division by two games over the Clippers (46-32).
