Angels lose late; Clips stay alive

Leading 4-2 late in the game, the Los Angeles Angels were touched by eight runs and lost 10-4 to the Detroit Tigers on Thursday night in Anaheim.
It was the Halos’ sixth straight loss and dropped their record to 12-18, still last in the American League West.
Logan O’Hoppe and Jorge Soler homered for the Angels.


The Los Angeles Clippers staved off elimination in the NBA West first round playoffs with a 111-105 win over the Denver Nuggets in Inglewood.
James Harden scored 28 points and Kawhi Leonard added 27 as the Clips tied their series at 3-3. The deciding game will be played on Saturday in Denver.

The Los Angeles Kings finished their 2024-2025 NHL season on Thursday night with a 6-4 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on the road. With the win, the Oilers won the first round Stanley Cup series four games to two.
