Expansion of modern dance offerings and the beefing up of cybersecurity are on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education.
Proposed is the acceptance of a bid from The Wooden Floor to expand such after-school offerings in concert with the Boys & Girls Club of Garden Grove. Funding comes from the State of California.
Also the board will be asked to accept a bid for cybersecurity services from Nth Generation Computing Inc. to strengthen protection for data and “safeguarding” the GGUSD’s “digital environment.”
The bid is for $1,259,277 and funding comes from the Federal Communications Commission.
The board will meet at 10331 Stanford Ave. with a closed session for a conference with labor negotiators at 5:05 p.m.; a closed session to discuss district policies at 5:15 p.m. and the regular board meeting at 7 p.m.
The GGUSD serves most of Garden Grove and parts of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
